We offer hybrid, immersive courses that help students practice for college and adulthood through a real-world simulation of life’s responsibilities. Students complete some preparatory work independently online, while most learning happens live—either virtually or in person—through engaging activities, real-world scenarios, and expert-led sessions that create an interactive and dynamic learning experience. In our Adulting course, students step into an interactive simulation of adulthood, starting with getting a job that provides an income. From there, they take on real-world responsibilities such as managing housing, transportation, insurance, and essential expenses while balancing their budget. They will search real housing listings, review lease agreements, and navigate financial decisions like securing insurance and making large purchases. Through hands-on activities, they will also build a credit score, explore financing options, negotiate deals, and file taxes. These experiences, along with many others, provide students with the practical skills and problem-solving abilities needed to thrive in adulthood. This isn’t just a class—it’s a guided practice run for adulthood. Students leave confident and prepared to take on real-world responsibilities, making this course a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn by doing.

Let’s be real—adulting is hard. No one hands you a manual on how to budget, do your taxes, or negotiate a salary. That’s where I come in! I’m Dani Santos, your guide to all things real-world survival. With a bachelor's degree in economics, MBA coursework, juris doctorate degree, and experience working in everything from law, education, hospitality, retail, marketing, business, and more, I’ve seen firsthand what skills actually matter once you’re out in the real world. For years, I’ve been teaching Adulting, Intro to Law, and financial literacy courses, helping over 300 young adults like you figure out how to navigate life without the stress. But SALS isn’t just another boring class—it’s an interactive, hands-on experience where you’ll learn by doing. From renting your first apartment to making a budget that actually works, you’ll walk away feeling confident and ready to take on whatever adulthood throws your way. One day, I hope this class becomes a high school graduation requirement (because seriously, why isn’t it already?). Until then, I’m here to make sure you get the head start you deserve.
